The DataDirect Connect for ODBC Informix driver (the Informix driver) supports multiple connections to the following Informix database servers when using the appropriate client software.

Informix Dynamic Server 11.0, 11.5, 11.7
Informix Dynamic Server 10.0
Informix Dynamic Server 9.2, 9.3, 9.4
The Informix driver is 32-bit only and is supported in the Windows and UNIX environments, but not in the Linux environments. See Environment-Specific Information for detailed information about the environments supported by this driver.
Refer to the readme file shipped with your DataDirect product for the file name of the Informix driver.
Note: The Informix driver requires Informix client software. Progress DataDirect also provides an Informix driver that does not require any client software to access Informix databases. See The
