The SQL Server Wire Protocol Driver
The DataDirect Connect for ODBC and DataDirect Connect64 for ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver (the SQL Server Wire Protocol driver) each support the following database versions:
Cloud:
*Microsoft Windows Azure SQL Database

On premise:
*Microsoft SQL Server 2012
*Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R1, R2
*Microsoft SQL Server 2005
*Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000)
*Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit)
